Default Intake and exhaust on 2014 FRS

I've got credit at South Point Toyota, so I'm going to get air intake and exhaust. When I contact the parts department and book it in there they automatically get me the TRD intake and exhaust. What I'm wondering is, is that stuff good enough compared to other brands such as air raid or K&N or other brands of exhaust.
After I get those parts on do I need to get the car retuned to get proper performance out of those parts.
    Thanks for any advice 😁

So from the different forums I've read, the best I can figure out on my own, is the Injen CAI and the Magnaflow exhaust.
I also learnt that you don't need a retune unless you have a s/c.

You're better off with a drop in filter. Any other CAI will net you minimal/negative gains unless you recalibrate your MAF scaling for it.

In the FRS/BRZ world, stock air box + drop in is best. I you have money to burn, I'd go with the TRD airbox + good filter.

As for your exhaust choice, I wouldn't say that Magnaflow is that great. I'd skip the magnaflow if that's all they can offer you. Maybe put the credit towards service, etc instead.

Thanks Joe-G I ended up just putting in a drop in. It barely hurts the pocket book and gives a little bit extra.
