Default Politicians spar over Energy East as NEB suspends pipeline review

I'm not even sure where to begin on the idiocy.

Import oil from another country when we have our own oil. Import oil from a backwards society that doesn't give a shit about the environment. Yet, our oil companies are second to none in addressing the environmental concerns.

Our so called leader prays on the ignorant to get votes. Well, that's the way our backwards political system works.

It's not. Praying on someone is what a priest does when they are dying.

Apparently greenpeace and the NEB didn't see all of those wonderful climate leadreship commercials they were shoving down our throats a few months

This is a huge blow to the marketability of Canadian oil. Interesting times, that's for sure.

Surprised to see all the Trudope, and Liberal bashing in CBC comments. Gives me hope for 2019.

The oil is going to make it to the market by rail if it can't go by pipeline.

The only difference will be 1) safety, 2) Canadian producers make less money, and 3) TCP (and others) may look to invest the dollars they have somewhere else (eg. other countries).

Just heard a blurb from some Lib politician that basically tried to blame the fiasco on TC, and spun it all to make it sound as if this decision from TC is good for the country.

Algeria (17,942 cubic metres per day), United Kingdom-North Sea (15,370), Nigeria (11,835), Norway (11,483), Saudi Arabia (10,922), Iraq (6,376), Venezuela (4,218)
This was in 2012. Sounds to me like Albertans need to start utilizing greenpeace style tactics and blocking shipments.

For good measure, Kenney should follow through and cut off gas shipments to BC in 2019 for a day or two, just to send a message.
