    Default Mercedes-AMG Project One

Didn't see another thread going, but this car looks so good. 1.6L F1 engine that revs to 11,000 Only 275 are going to be made, but that's a lot, considering the 2+ mill price tag. More details when the car is "released" at the Frankfurt Auto Show in a week.

Maybe Mclaren can buy a few, and use the engines.

    Not a bad idea.
Excited to see what the final product looks like.

Those iPad after-thoughts are an eye soar. At least the outside is nice.

    Lots more pics:

Better question is why is there a latch in front of your crotch. Harness anchor point?

    Same.

Or a Valkyrie. Or a special edition Huayra.

Quite a few exclusive cars that I'd rather have than this one - most of that reason is the engine. I don't want a V6, no matter how high it revs. I mean a 6 year old Lexus LFA has a V10 that gets to nearly 10k

It's the only car that has a F1 engine in it, pretty sure that's exclusive enough. Have you heard it? It was revved a bit this morning at Frankfurt when Lewis Hamilton drove it out. Pretty much sounds like a current F1 car. 1000hp, no lag, cylinder count is irrelevant.

I think the engine is the ONLY interesting thing here.

These hyper cars just make me yawn for the most part.

You're right, I shouldn't have specified cylinder count. I haven't heard it, but I can tell you I'd rather listen to a huayra than a current F1 car. Haha. Not saying it's rational, just my preference.

Also, I didn't mean to say it wasn't exclusive. It most definitely is. Just saying in that category (dream cars I'll likely never own), there's cars I prefer to it, that's all.

There will be a Project One coming to Calgary, so everyone might get a chance to hear it one day.

I know of a Project One that is supposed to be coming to Edmonton. The guy has owned 918, P1 and all those in the past as well.

Last I heard Calgary has 3 orders for this car. None of which have been allocated by Mercedes.
