Does anyone use VPN on their IPTV service? or care to even use VPN? I will be signing up for one, but don't know if I should have VPN before it.
If I install one of the IPTV apps onto a computer, ipad or Apple TV should I be concerned with security? Should one only put it on devices where they don't use for online banking etc?
I came across ginnis ad just recently. $35 usd for a years service. They claim 9000 + channels but much of it is foreign. It was dirt cheap so I paid for it.
I haven't played around with it a lot as we are too busy but the channels loaded. Had to lock out a boat load of porn channels.
I think the main gripe I noticed was a lack of HD channels... but I spent maybe 10 minutes in the app browsing channels. Theres also a million channels so I need to sort out blocking out what I know ill never use.
Previous iptv provider was a company called media prime. Never any issues with them. These guys are uk/us/Canada channels. No complaints but we hardly watch TV. These guys were $10 a month. Any tech support issues they were always great to deal with.
Bought a Sony 900H over Boxing Day, and finally have a SmartTV (coming from a 11+ year old LCD). Does anyone have any recommendations as to what app to download to get this started. Im a total noob on how IPTV works.
From what ive read, you download an IPTV app > find a IPTV subscription service > then use the IPTV app to run the subscribed service?
Recommendations for awesome IPTV Companies that shoe PPV Boxing/Sports? Seems like there are over 100+ companies to choose from
iptv smarter is a popular app for your TV streaming. Pay for your service and input the info they give you and your up and running.

Tivimate is the best app. I just found out about it last week. It's like $26 for lifetime but easily the best interface.
A cousin runs STBPRO and he pays $10 a month. I played around with it at his home. Interface seems a bit basic. One can play a movie but it does not say whats playing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We watched Harry Potter dubbed over in Hindi. It was hilarious. It seems okay, it has a lot of channels, East Indian, UK, and other stuff.
Ive downloaded the app, but im looking at if there are any other apps with a better interface and different providers
Pm'd
I must be just too used to smarters based apps because I just couldn't get into tivimate's interface at allThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Ya exactly, most of the providers will have the STBEMU as well. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'd vouch for IPGUYS it's been stable for years, Beast recently closed down.
Make sure to buy it Month to month, a new bill was passed with the $600 stim package in the US though, servers and providers won't be from America anymore (or much less common at least)

So is there a legit IPTV service, or are they all just restreamers?
I found all the regular services were all so bad now, quality and cost, I just went with STB mag box services and I couldn't be happier now. Cheaper per month, quality is actually really good and seems to be reliable. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

IPTV is STB or M3UThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They are they same basically but STB is more stable it's not a Box needed for the STB but the MAC and portal number.

I understand than yeah. I'm unclear what other options there are, and just saying that there are good quality services that exist in that realmThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yup, and I just emulate the STB on my current devices. I had to add harmony remotes (RIP) to get the full functionality of the programming, but side by side there is no difference from my neighbors using an infomir. I'm just saying compared to the last 6 or 7 services I used over the years, all of varying quality and cost and stability, nothing seems to compare. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I think the biggest factor is which provider is giving the streams since all of them come from a very few select servers, and if the providers network is overloaded with users it will lag and have issues. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
From what i've heard is when you put in your portal URL into your STB and if there is over X people using the portal is starts to crash. Prob something like 100,000 users at once, don't know the exact number but it's
I asked about it once for IPGUYS» Click image for larger version

I found a really good one a couple of months ago (jarvis/prime). Probably the best feed I've come across over the years.
