From what I've read, the C43 is not a big jump on the E400. The outgoing E350 was definitely underpowered, but the E400 is definitely adequate. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
While not confirmed or even reported, I’m speculating that once the “53” replaces the “43” in E and higher classes, the C43 will get the 400hp version of the engine that’s currently in the E43. That’s going to be the true sweet spot car in the C lineup and really stand out against its competitors as early as next year when the C gets facelifted. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Fuck this thread is making me want to jump back into MB...although I am not a fan of wagons.
Why wouldnt they just put the 53 into the C class instead of the 43.
Because the 53 is rumored to be around 500hp. The non AMG version of the 53 power unit already sits at 435hp.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I guess they could bump the power up on the 63s.

The German manufacturers have always had a problem with their mid tier engines getting the fancy new tech first, and eclipsing the premium motors.
Remember the N54 coming out BMW had to lie about its output to not damage M3 sales.
435/500/600 for E300/E53/E63 is totally doable. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyone know someone who maybe selling their 2013+ E63 Sedan, not wagon or coming up at the end of their lease?
Someone steal my chequebook please.
Glad I'm no longer in the market.
