I am very aware of that. I was just confirming your depreciation speculation for the RWS based on the more limited and track focused GT depreciating as one would expect a normal R8 to depreciate.
Right. I'm not a huge expert on predicting depreciation, but as you said, I'm not expecting anything unusual with these. In general I think R8's are pretty good with depreciation.

I was told delivery would be sometime in March, but could be delayed until April due some holdups at the east coast. No worry for me, I likely wont be driving it until late April/May anyways.

In terms of depreciation, I am thinking that the RWS will hold its value extremely well. I don't think it's going to sell like a used GT4/GT3 but I think the value will hold. If they do discontinue the R8 in 2020, I think that there is a slight chance the car could sell slightly above MSRP in a few years provided I keep the KMs low. Either way it goes, I don't think I'll ever get tired of that 5.2L roaring behind me while sliding around like a hooligan so I think it will be a car that I'll have for many years to come.

$163k CAD MSRP. Very surprised, and a very aggressive price for a LE vehicle.

That is very good! Consider R8 comes loaded already, so ~$175k + GST Can get a decent V10 R8 RWS, similar price to a 911 GTS, or AMG GTC, but you got a stunning V10!

Another interning new car is the Aston 500hp amg powered Vantage, also start at ~170k, (but with options, easily $220k) just not sure if it will comes with manual.....

I think I picked out a good plate for mine - QUATTNO haha. Don’t know if anyone will get it though since there is nothing that distinguishes the RWS from the regular V10 really.

Speaking of manual V8s with over 500hp, anybody looking for a 2008 supercharged m3 with low
    Km?

$80k markup haha. I’d be pumped if that sold but don’t see it happening.

Anyone get their hands on one of these RWS models? There seem to be a few for sale in the $160K range.

I noticed that too .. few month ago, some dealers were trying to ask more, as this is a rare limited vehicle .. but sadly, it is not the Porsche GT vehicles, $30-50K over MSRP doesn't work.. I think the Lambo dealer got one, and was asking $198K for few month, but then once dropped to $168K, gone!

Not sure if Audi will make the RWS for the face lifted 2020 R8 ... but at ~$160-170K, it is a great choice! Consider a reasonable loaded 992 S will be that price!

The RWS was limited edition, but it is still the "base" model.

Most of the 911 range is not for car guys. They are touring cars for the brand conscious. The exception are the stipper base models (which are my favorite 911s), and the GT3/GT3RS cars.

I know I am biased but I predict the RWSs will sell for $180k in a couple years. They are still unknown to a lot of consumers, and the market in the states has been selling them well over msrp for the last month or so. I’m basing this if they don’t sell a facelifted version, which I’ve heard mixed opinions on whether they will or not.

I think if anyone can get one under $170k, it’s a steal for a car of its caliber. There is nothing like a v10 engine howling to 8000rpm behind you while shooting flames on every shift. Okay, well maybe a a v12...

Either way, I could sell mine tomorrow and still break even which is pretty amazing for owning a V10 supercar for a year or two.

Audi has done a good job marketing these things. Seems to be decent demand for them. I've driven the V10, and honestly it's not that impressive for the money. If I was going to drop that kind of cash again, I'd rather buy a used Lambo Gallardo with the same drivetrain, but for a lot cheaper, and at least get the Lambo notoriety in a car that is considered slow by todays standards. My Viper was 116k out the door brand new, and it lays a filthy beating on the R8 with the extra 120hp.

    I wouldn't buy a viper... I'd buy a ram v10. Same drivetrain. Am I doing this right?
