    Default Lug Bolt Question

This is going to sound dumb because it probably is.

I got some winters on rims from Kal Tire for my BMW (F25). Dude insisted that I need a new set of lug bolts. I gave in to pressure and purchased them.
    Now I realized that it's an M14 x 1.25 x 27mm. This unit here: https://goo.gl/VePdgu

Isn't that the same size as the OEM lugs? Why can't I use the OEM lugs?

What wheels? Yes that's the same thread as OEM but some wheels have narrow holes for lugs that only """tuner""" lugs will fit into.

Different thickness on the wheel may require a bolt of the same diameter and thread in different length. I have a different set for my winter wheels than my summer wheels.

Nah, ball seat is usually OEM for like Hondas and shit. BMW is cone as are 99% of aftermarket wheels.

Those core racing wheels like KalTire sells have really deep and really narrow lug holes. Like a 17mm socket won't fit in there.

EDIT: Probably fuckin on purpose so they can sell a hundred dollar set of $20 lug nuts with every set of wheels

Yeah, the holes on my OZ wheels are small too. I had to buy a skinny socket and it barely fits in there.

That makes sense. Where is a good place in town to get a new set of lug nuts? Those ones don't like my impact wrench even for removal.
