I think it is an overpriced system in general. Very good, but very expensive.

I've had my Ring Pro die on me during last summer. Wasn't the battery, unit kept locking up and needed hard reboot, which sucks because you have to take the damn security screw off to get to the reset button. The worst part is when it locks up, there's no alert that it's down. It's lock up every 2 months, finally decided to contact support, had a new doorbell sent to me next day. I pay for my subscription so it's apparently always under warranty when that happens?

It's run solid throughout this year's cold snap.
Had the same issue. Had the same resolution. Only difference is that mine ended up bricked at after the second or 3rd reset. They said that the power supply of my doorbell might be the problem. I think it might have been the heat / smoke from the summer. who knows.

My Nestcam was awesome when on the free trial.. everything was fast and easy to pull up. Now that I am on the free package, its been hit or miss. Really makes me mad.

Cold snap that just happened in Edmonton still gave us no issues with the ring doorbell or a wyzecam in a outdoor case.

A +1 for a wyze doorbell If they ever get around to it.

Forgot I even made this thread way back lol. Ended up installing a ring doorbell pro, has worked fine through the winter. Also have 2 wyze cams which are both working fine outside.

I have a Ring 2 as well, but I haven't had it fail me yet. It worked through the bad cold snap as well. It does sometimes fail to connect on my Andriod but not often or related to cold. I think its mostly due to my shit ass phone. Works fast on the wife's iOS.

I've had the Ring Pro for close to two years. The weather during this and last winter haven't impacted it and always records when it needs to.
