    Default Opinion on 2013 ML63

Gents. I'm looking at buying a 2013 Mercedes ML63 with 108,000 km on it for $45,000. What are your thoughts? Car is mint and fully loaded. The only issue I have is that it is above 100k km. The price seems very reasonable considering what is for sale on the market.

Good price, was looking at a friends with less KMs for about 50/55,000. Interior is super cushy, perfect size for DD and family.

    What color is it?

    Front Air Shocks
Rear Suspension Air Bags (very common, we keep these in stock for a reason)
Airmatic Compressor (very common as well, always have 1 in stock)

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Most people just convert the suspension to coil springs which lasts longer. Personally, I love the air suspension setup, well worth the $.

What's the common interval changes for the 'very common' parts? Mine has Airmatic, so gotta stock up.

Average lifespan of 120-160k kms. If you get the entire system replaced at the dealer, around $10k +/- $1k. Go independent shop with remanufactured parts, probably half that. Coil conversion, even cheaper.

Our GL was right around the 160k mark, replaced front and rear shocks and the compressor. I think we also replaced the rear ride height sensors as well, which were cheap compared to the overall cost..after that I was really contemplating selling it. However, still haven't been able to pull the trigger since it's such a perfect vehicle for the family.

Back on topic, the 2013 ML63 you're looking at seems like a pretty good price.

I think air compressors are a very easy component to break. Maybe it's just me, but I've had the air comp break on my last two cars... porsche, range so I don't think it's brand specific. At least here in Calgary with our weather.

The compressor is cheap, something like $400, so nobody gives a fuck haha. But if you want to increase the lifespan of the compressor especially for our environment, change the filter and inspect the hoses to the compressor. It's always dirt/salt/water getting in there, especially in winter that causes it to fail so quickly here.
