Gameplay is pretty good, but car vehicle sounds aren't great and shadows still look they're from the PS3. Usually i am a huge GT fan, but lack of a career mode and performance customization like in times past kind of ruin this game for me.

Graphics are obviously much better and every car is premium. Driving physics feel good too, just tougher to drift than i found in GT6. Not impressed with car and track selection (more to be added) and expected so much more considering the years between game releases. Forza manages to pump out a solid game every year, why can't GT come close?

I watched an in depth review, and they pretty much canned the career mode, repetitive cars (35 GTRs), and lack of tracks (only 3 offroad, bunch of reverse, and oval doesn't count).

What they gave it rave reviews for was the online play. The grading and ranking system matches you up with the same quality of drivers that makes for a fun racing experience. The ghosting system is also good for when someone wipes out so the entire field doesn't get taken out.

If you're looking for a classic Gran Turismo experience, this game is probably not for you.

I've put in a few hours on it now...I'm definitely dissapointed about a lack of career mode, but the online is really good. It seems to do a good job of matching you up with people of similar skill levels. Learning some of the new tracks and doing ok, I find that it's nice that I can join a race and not be stuck with people that are WAY faster/slower than me.

I'm pissed off that Fanatec once again fucked everyone over by promising that the Clubsport V2 wheelbase that was released was an all new design that promoted compatibility between all consoles by moving the required logic into the steering wheel. By swapping wheels, you would gain future compatibility by just buying a steering wheel. I expected to buy a PS4 compatible wheel and easily switch between consoles. Nope, PS4 only available with CSL Elite PS4 edition. Not only that, they released the CSL Elite wheelbase at 1/2 the price for Xbox One.

This company pisses me off, but fuck do they ever make the best wheel out there.

I was all set to buy the PSVR GT Sport bundle today for $199 today, but after watching the reviews and seeing how neutered the VR experience was, I will continue to hold out.
It's really just to enjoy the interiors and scenery, with only a 2 car grid with a slow AI.
