Where does everyone get their turkeys from? Frozen or fresh?

    Ditto.

Doing it on the BBQ again this year. Best I've ever had.

That sounds like a good idea.. What is your method for doing it on the BBQ?

Whatever is on sale for $0.95/lb And probably pick up a second for a healthy dose of turkey sandwich's for weeks after

If you know how to cook even a little, a cheap bird can still take you to flavor town.

Is anyone rocking an infrared cooker? Tried this over the summer and was impressed with how well it turned out with just a drop of oil.

Grade A for under a buck a pound is FTW, seriously though - I get the feeling Galen Weston takes a small hit at prices like that (not that they can't afford it). I'm lazy so just salt and pepper for me.
    Cocoa $10,000 per ton.

I get the cheap one from Sobeys, but the key I find is to brine it the night before and it helps keep it from drying out if you screw up and leave it too long.

Drip pan with water under the grills, turkey right on the grills. Wood chip foil packs on the burners. Some seasoned herb butter under the skin, light oil on the skin. Foil the wings and drumstick ends until the last 30 mins or so.

Did it last year and was blown away by the results. Just had to watch the temp.

I think I had some quartered unpeeled onions, carrots and celery in the pan as well to do a gravy, not sure if I'll try to replicate that this year.

I thought my family was weird for doing our birds on the BBQ. They always turn out great.
