Default Should Hawaii prepare for nuclear bomb?

Because according to Trump NBC is fake news.

I do not see this as sensationalism, because there is actually a solid whole number percentage that Hawaii could be nuked now or sometime in the future as retaliation for actions of the USA over half a century ago. Students should be the first to understand their situation, especially millennials shielded from the truth for decades. The much older generation probably already knows "duck and cover" but now only as a taboo subject.

You just spoke of Hawaii without your proverbial $60,000 / year welfare bit.

On a side note: Surviving gunfire by jumping into water is a real thing, surviving a grenade blast by getting out of the water - is also a real thing.

A concussive blast is mostly harmless in air if you can avoid the shrapnel, but a concussive blast is *exceptionally deadly* submerged in water. Your lungs and sinuses will literally rip apart. Useful tidbit of info that all millennials on Hawaii and Guam should know.

I read the thread title and I figured, hey - I bet you this was created by ZenOps.

    Yup.

If NK ends up sending over nukes, you better believe they aren't going to target just Hawaii. They are going to send over everything they have, and IF they can actually hit the mainland they will. It will be one big last hurrah because they know they won't win a war, and know they are going to get decimated overall.

That's what is so messed about this situation. NK acts, they get destroyed. They don't want that. US acts, they risk triggering nuclear war. They don't want that. So that's why I try to view this all as continued saber-rattling and that nothing will actually come of it. But then in that case, NK continues to improve their nuclear position and at some point they absolutely WILL have the capability of decimating the US with a volley of nukes if they so choose. And the US doesn't want that either.

Pretty much the pinnacle of a dilemma.

I know, its important for Hawaii to keep communism healthy and thriving, and to destroy the evil imperial god-king Kim Jong Elizabeth II.

On a more realistic, non-drug induced, topic. Did you know Hawaii suffered major electrical grid disruptions after the Starfish Prime upper atmospheric nuclear test over the Pacific ocean? (tests were done thousand miles away).
