    Because he's refused to leave pakistan for fear of being placed in gitmo - I'd take my chances on the long game and hope for the payout

    No, they refused to board a plane headed for the US, they're heading back to Canada. I still don't see how this will get them millions? Has there been a purposeful breach of his Canadian rights?

    Who's to say they are even his kids? She said she was "violated" while in captivity.

    I agree though that it is an odd situation. There is certainly information here that is not being disclosed.
