I think Costco online has been sold out of the 900 even before Black Friday. They don’t sell them in-store either from what I say this past Friday. It was a popular TV this Black Friday.
A few friends picked them up and it does HDR really well and the blacks are good as well. I did however notice the viewing angle is terrible and when I was sitting off to the side on the couch instead of straight on the imagine was poor. Personally i think if this is a tv where the user is sitting straight on it is an amazing deal and the PQ is very good. However if its going in a room where the wife/kids/guests are sitting on another couch which will be more than a 30 degree angle from the tvs center point there might be some disappointment.

Costco does not have this in stock, can’t even order online as of today. Price wise it’s the same everywhere I looked, Costco extended warranty would’ve been the advantage if I they had it. So maybe the Visions guy is right, he mentioned something about the viewing angle, maybe I will look at the Samsung’s.

The only reason to go OLED is if you have issues with black levels. That’s pretty much the only area where OLED is visibly ahead of LED. You can cram as many dimming zones as you want in an LED, still can’t compare to the per pixel level of OLEDs.
How is OLED not superior in every way besides brightness? They're gorgeous. Also viewing angle is a big one.

I just went in to buy a x900e and walked out with an LG B7 on black friday. Finally something to rival my pioneer plasma that now seems like a relic.

oled is the best for black levels no doubt, but there is a worry of burn in. i decided on the x900e because i do lots of gaming and run my PC on my TV too. check out the review on rtings.com, they are doing a stress test on these displays, and it's not looking good. obviously that is a worst case scenario, but it was enough to shy me away for now.

Yeah I'm concerned about burn-in myself as well. It was the main reason I was going to settle for the x900e. That's unrelated to the PQ thing though.

So I never did buy a tv and now I'm looking for one on boxing day...has anyone seen a good one for cheap yet? Also, I see some that are 60hz and then 120mr , what's he difference?

Also, what is the benefit of having a smart tv if I have the Android box?

Hz is the frequency it displays the picture. Higher numbers are better as a rule, but there's lots more to a tv then just that.

If you have an android box, a smart tv means nothing really. But most are smart now anyways. So if you can find a non smart for cheaper, thats a little extra $ in your pocket.

Ya I get that the higher numbers are better but what's the difference between Hz and MR...?

Love my LG b7 oled. Hours upon hours of division (6+ hour incursion sessions) destiny and pc work since Black Friday and I’ve zero burn in.

I'm a year into ownership of an LG OLED65B6P and have been using it for all my gaming and TV and no burn-in issues to date. Once you get used to OLED regular LED simply doesn't compare as I have a 65" Vizio M-Series in my living room and it just looks like crap in comparison.

C'mon, this is beyond where everything immediately evolves into a dick swinging competition.

Best buy has the sharp 65" for boxing day. I think it's 750ish. Looks like the best bang for buck this year

If you're coming from a plasma even a high end LED will make you sad.

Can you hold out until OLEDs get cheaper?
