    Default Looking for diecast model

    My last uncle recently passed away and his wife is looking for a 1:24 scale red 2007 Dodge Dakota for sentimental/remembrance reasons. I know this will most likely be a difficult find and I've been told to order it if possible and so, what are the best places locally as well as on line. I'd like to support local if possible.
    Will fuck off, again.

    Does it have to be manufacturer specific?

    I think he means manufacturer of the diecast model.

    I recall seeing Dakota Diecast trucks but that was over a decade ago. Doubt any local suppliers (PM Hobby, etc.) would carry it. The internet will most likely have to come to the rescue.
    Is this similar to what you are seeking? (notice it's out of stock).

    Manufacturer = Anson

    Looks like American Muscle (manufacturer) had a dodge dakota too.....

    Finding a red one may be difficult though.

    Good luck in the search.

    I've found nothing so far, it's like the 2007 generation was never produced as a diecast.

    I've never seen a die cast for the Dakota in that scale. Would a resin/plastic model work for your need?

    Also, do you have an exact photo of what the truck looks like? Is it an extended cab?

    Here's the closest thing I could find in that scale. Unfortunately, it's a 1998 so it's a different generation.

    Anything similar to this would do...

    I don't think one can be picky with respect to regular, extended or crew cab as it appears that it will be a difficult diecast to source.

    I was thinking a good quality model kit would be the best bet. There are guys who make a hobby out of building them to a high level of accuracy and I wouldn't doubt if a few beyonders were closet model geeks and might be retained to make one in the right colour etc.

    Is it a bad thing if I immediately looked to see how badly this comment was downvoted? :P

    I read this thread this morning and when dropping off some donations today I saw a model shop. I spoke with some of the staff and they said they just sold two Dakota die casts last week (I forgot to ask the year). It might be worth giving them a call. Model Land in the Glendale area.
