Ive built and worked in enough food processing plants to say that nothing goes to waste and if its fleshy, it'll go back into something edible..
In the plants, whatever you don't use in your primary process, you are going to get charged for its disposal, so you may as well find a way to use it in another product, or sell it to someone else as an ingredient for their process.. The farther along the process the harder it gets to do that.
Its not the meat side of it that is the grossest to me though, its the cheese side that is actually pretty disgusting, and pizza cheese is literally the bottom of the barrel.

Why ? Most of these places are federally regulated, until its actually illegally to use some parts, there's nothing to be reported.
