    Default Enmax PM ATCO offer

See my RFD thread. Better than last year! https://forums.redflagdeals.com/enma...offer-2143504/
Atco is offering 2 months free energy to switch and Enmax will match depending on your usage last Jan and Feb.
    Live chat is likely faster.
    I got a $250 credit.

I called them and they said they cant match it. They basically said the NDP are going to govern the rates next year and expect to pay more for ATCO's other months (not sure if they are just spouting bs or if theres a hint of truth there)

Seems like others on RTD got the following reply on livechat:

"We don't match offers, but I can have a look at your account and see what I can do for your ENMAX bill." "I checked with my manager and was told about an ENMAX promotion that we are working on. We will be releasing our own awesome offer in early December on ENMAX.com, please check the web in the next couple of weeks"

Ya they won't match it. They also said they don't normally match and my match from last year was an 'exception'...did you actually get it matched or did your $250 freak them out

All of my neighbors got the deal and that is how I found out. My co-worker got a response of "wait 15 days and we will have a better offer for you.... I could give you a discount now, but you might save more in December"

Hahaha, is anyone on RRO and not EasyMax? They're willing to give me the credit if I switch to EasyMax. Although, not sure why I wasn't on EasyMax to begin with.

Ah, that might be the secret... I'm on EasyMax.

Just called and got the same answer that they wont match it but they have their own offer coming in December. The Atco deal expires at the end of December so at least there is time to make a switch if we feel its necessary if the Enmax deal is garbage. We are on Easymax as well BTW.

How much electricity are you guys using? My electric bill is $6.22. The rest is all fees, which brings it all around to $33.93 for this month (last month was $44).
Looked around the saving with just energy would be $1. But even then I don't know if that would be offset with admins fees etc.

It’s also for gas? Considering my bill usually goes up by $100-$150/month in jan and feb... seems worthwhile

Interesting... Last year Enmax offered me $100, the next bill came and it showed $45, I called and they told me that $45 was all they offer, I played back the recording and they changed it to $100. Now Atco is offering double from last year soooooo... I\ll need to write myself a script and start practicing.

I am with Enmax, I haven't spent much time researching the differences between with two companies but was able to get a $200+ rebate out of Enmax last year. So this year, if they don't plan to match why shouldn't I just switch to ATCO?

Average around 900kwh in the summer and 1800kwh in winter. So at current rates $32-$65 a month.

I got $87 last year and got my parents around $70ish. Seeing as they are smarter this year, I'll wait Enmax's offer

No just electricity. I should have clarified.

Interesting. My electric goes up in the summer as I use the AirCon more. I used to only really have my lamp on (LED Bulb). But the electricity used by the other lights is so dam low, it makes no real difference switching off the lights in my Condo.

Even though my Easymax contract expired, they still are honoring the $8.33 / month credit.

I use about 400 kwh per month consistently in electricity and 25 GJ of natgas heating for the entire winter season.

Im surprised you dont have solar panels and a wind turbine powering your house. I bet you have a faraday cage in the basement though right - for when the emp hits.

Sure, a gas generator stored in a EMP cage is probably a good idea. I mean, if you are going to store a gas generator anyhow, might as well spend the extra $50 and use a metal cage for it.

Noone seems to mention that solar panels will likely damage in an EMP blast. I don't think anyone knows for sure, but I can imagine that a polycrystalline lattice will pretty much fry just like a computer chip in that scenario. Wind power should be mostly immune though.

I think we're still waiting on whatever the hell ENMAX's offer is supposed to be in early December.
So I guess we'll wait for that and see. Should be sometime soon if what was said above is true.

    Enmax would not match.

Would Atco's delivery charges be the around the same as Enmax?
