Should be since they're the delivery rates set by the AUC. So whoever your wire owner is would have their rates approved and charged. As far as I understand it, the administration fees and the actual energy usage are the only parts of your bill that will change.

Does anybody have an Atco bill on variable with gas and electricity? If so, can you please post what your rates are.

I'm currently with Enmax getting the Easymax credit and also the old $0.47/GJ transaction fee. I'm wondering if the Enmax floating rates are the same as the Atco variable rates.

So ENMAX really have nothing to offer other than the chance to win 1 of 25 prizes. The chance winning being pretty slim given the number of ENMAX accounts. Are most people here switching to ATCO?

My Jan and Feb 2017 energy usage was $180... this is just the energy consumed not including any additional fees, so I expect the bill to be similar this year.

I found out Atco is not offering their $50/yr anniversary credit in combination with this free Jan/Feb energy offer.

Unfortunately for me, it won't be worth switching since I get a legacy $100/yr Easymax credit and the lower $.47/GJ transaction fee vs Atco's lower admin fees. For anyone not getting these Enmax legacy credits, it's probably worth switching to Atco!

Although I am still confused about the floating/RRO/variable rates offered. I pulled these off Enmax and Atco's website, as you can see they're not the same:

Contest starts on the 4th... receive email from ENMAX on the 8th about the contest!

I'm staying with them because I still get the legacy $100/yr Easymax credit, but WTF that contest is stupid as fuck to match what ATCO is offering!

I am on Easymax but have floating rates for both gas and electricity. ENMAX website says I need to give them 30-day notice to cancel, whatever that means. Can I still switch to ATCO effective Jan. 1?

I made a request for service with ATCO on Dec 1 and my services were switched effective Dec 4. ATCO does the Enmax notifications. There was no issue concerning 30day notice requirement.

Hmm, if you compare the actual time ranges, they're pretty close.

    Atco or Enmax...it doesn't matter.

As time goes on, you'll pay about the same amount regardless of which one you choose.

Agreed but the two months free energy from ATCO definitely swings the balance.

Especially during January and February. I'm going to switch and crank my garage furnace up to 20*C

I'm going to switch too, fuck Enmax... So it's just as easy as going onto Atco's website? I won't get screwed over by Enmax on some BS cancellation fee?

Just confirmed with Enmax, I have a 30 day cancellation period too...it will work out to less than $100 in immediate savings for the 2 months.

After that, it's anyone's guess who would cost more. I think Atco has to make up for all this somehow, maybe in their fees and other bullshit charges...decided not to do it.

Just a reminder to anyone who was procrastinating, this offer is over at midnight tonight.

Glad I remembered today, lol. Turning my hottub back up to 102*F, and my garage furnace to 20*C!

I did my change over to ATCO online and it was super easy. I picked their flex rates for both electricity and gas. I see from my ENMAX account today that I no longer have electricity and gas with them, so the actual switch over is completed today as promised by ATCO.

When does the free energy kicks in? Is it the energy you used during the months of January and February?
If so, then maybe wait a few days before turning things up?
