It might happen. Well see how the holidays and bonuses are this year.
Bonuses? You seem to be a CEO in your own mind.

The "Christmas Turkey" bonus is apt though.

No just a grease monkey. We get a bonus based on hours and warranty work. If you dont get many warranty jobs returning, you get a bonus. Not ceo wages but it all helps.

The goodyear rep explained it to us. I guess yku dont undersgand it either.

You guys remind me of that other expert that used all the tech stuff to tell me why my solar wont work and was 100% wrong. Funny. Havet seen him since instead we have new guys making stuff up.

Here is a simple google. http://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae140.cfm

Wouldn't it be nice if the behaviour of a tire were fully described by a single variable equation? Turn your googling skills to "limitations of Coulomb friction model" and use your sick bonus to buy a copy of Milliken & Milliken instead of listening to your tire salesman.

Who needs real Marth when you can just blindly trust Tesla to do that for you.

Running the numbers on a Tesla, rookie mistake.

Are you also saying a heavier car accelerates quicker?

You takin about this 1990s doorstop? The boss has better in his library, ive red it once or twice. Can you tell me what page says a heavier car is faster?

How cute. If you had read and understood even the first chapters of the book you wouldn't be regurtiating what your tire salesman told you. Doorstop? Hilarious. I suppose that could be true in a very limited sense if you have been following the work of Persson, but since youre using an 18th century formula as the basis for your argument I doubt thats the case. Good job on borrowing someone else's pristine book and putting it on top of some F1 picturebooks though.

Who knows, who cares. Nothing to take seriously either way. Sounds like he works with some interesting guys, too bad he is the one posting here.

Your attempt to belittle a man that knows more about tires than most people in north america is mildly offensive. Yes, goodyear has technical documents, and yes they still use friction coeffieceints. But ok if you know better.

Tee book is literally the a door stop for the back bathroom at the back of the shop. We have lots of reading material, but after a smelly dump, we do use it to hold the door open.

So you are joining the chorus, a heavier car accelerates faster? Your dodging the question by trying to distract from sugars first claim, which is dishonest.

Considering how little the median North American knows about tires I wouldn’t exactly call that a feat...

If he is as knowledgable as you think and chooses to explain tire dynamics to you with Coulomb's formula, that certainly says a lot about how he percieves you.

I never said anything about the weight of a vehicle relating to its acceleration, which is why I ignored that statement. Speaking of dishonesty...

If you took two identical cars with identical tires (even Goodyear tires) that are in your words "traction limited", and put a few hundred pounds over the drive wheels in one... that car would have more traction and accelerate more quickly. Are you seriously this dense?
Yes. the added traction will be offset with having to change the energy of the added weight. Once both cars are rolling and traction is no longer a factor, the lighter car will accelerate faster. It's in dakids book, if he read it.

What you shoudl do is increase the suspension ability to trasnfer weight (irreleveant with awd though), or move weight from front fo car, to over drive wheels, but not add weight. again, not too relevent with awd car. but there is a bit there even fore them.

It's interesting he persumed he was the only one with the book if he actually ahs a copy, persumes the tire guy is stupid, and then he persumes I didn't read the book on our bathrom floor.

Thats a whole lot of persumpition.

And fyi, physics doensèt stop working just because its old.

Dishonest jumping into a conversation of a broader topic, to nit pick and distract from it with a side detail i fond interesting. And it has nothing to do with limitations of the friction formula, we arenèt driving on snow or ice, its actually called someting else in the drag race world, but I think im done with giving classes.

Hahahaha, I can't believe people are still arguing with Gestalt. He makes a broken plate look smart.

Looks like it’ll be quite a heavy car. Batteries alone sit at 2800lbs.

No wonder it's only projected to hit 1.9.
