    Default Drop in rods 1.8T

Looking for a knowledgeable place to install drop in rods in my Audi. Would it be better to go to a specific engine shop or tuner shop like tunedub?

Various shops charge different "hours" to replace so honestly and knowledge is very important.

As in, you just want to change the connecting rods in your engine? That’s basically a complete overhaul. You can’t just “drop in” some new rods.

Anyways, precise engine does excellent work.

Integrated Design makes drop in rods that you can use with factory pistons. The rods in a 1.8T is the weakest part of the engine so I plan on just doing the rods and piston rings with my new turbo set up to be safe. I will check out precise engine, thanks!

I would go to tunedub. They have done that exact job, on that exact car a hundred times.

Yea precise was good to me. That being said maxx is right (you probably understand this) but drop in is a bit misleading, really no difference in amount of work involved. The major cost will be the labor, might as well spend an extra 700-1000$ for proper forged pistons (I think a lot of 1.8ts even had cast?!?)
