Default Recommendation to buy Rolex in calgary

    Hello fellow watch connoisseurs.

Don’t know much about watches just like the Rolex day date look.
Any recommendations of where to get best price on an 18k all gold day date 40mm in calgary ?
What’s the discount % ur able to get off msrp?
    I️ like
Birkenhaus for the poor people like myself to maybe qualify for the 10/20 month no interest payments
    But all help is appriecated.

Or better to buy online on Grey markets? Pros n cons?

Or is the 41mm dd2 a better watch vs new 40mm dd?

Shop around as there's not many Rolex dealers in Calgary. 3 if I remember correctly
Try to go AD rather than grey market, the hassle if something needs to be fixed isn't worth the savings. Never had a friend tell me they ended up getting fake with grey market but lots of complaints about issues with movement etc.

Discount wise don't expect much. Especially if you're financing. Consider trying Birks if you want to go that route as they have a credit card(TD) that you can be instantly approved for. Personally I'd recommend a SUB or daytona.
I have a SS daytona and I love it

As mentioned, if you're financing, you're not going to get a discount, or at least it's going to be significantly less.

The bigger question is: Why does someone finance a watch?

I had no idea you could finance a watch . Maybe buy a Rolex knock-off that looks the same to everyone else until you can more easily afford it? You also might want it insured if you can't afford to replace it, so consider that cost as well.

We live in a society where we are encouraged to finance computer parts, stereos, cars, houses, renovations, clothing, electronics, watches, jewelery, cutlery, plateware, furniture, medical appliances, fitness equipment, and basically anything and everything else.

Why wouldn't we want to finance overpriced luxury watches from big-name manufacturers that produce north of 4,000 watches per day?

In many ways financing a watch makes more sense than financing a vehicle because the depreciation is lower.

Most watches depreciate faster than cars. I learnt this the hard way in my early days of collecting. Rolex is a bit of an exception to some degree, but that's because Chinese people are fucking idiots.

I believe the financing is a new option from Brinkhaus. Times are tough and they need to do what they can to keep inventory moving.

The OP says the finance is no-interest... If someone wants to offer me interest-free financing on anything, I'm probably going to take it

I guess you missed all the discussion on discounts vs. financing.
It's not any different than buying a car. 0% financing doesn't mean it's a good deal.

Leave it to the Chinese to Skyrocket Rolex prices and make it worthwhile to open up an AD at the airports

Ok I guess I’ll shop around. Ppl saying 5-20% off of msrp isn’t uheard of. I’ll c if times r hard n if they let u finance on discounts.

0% finance over x months and if u don’t pay it off after the term it goes to like credit card interest rates

So for the bashers y wouldn’t u choose int free for 10/20 months. Instead of droppin 30-40k cash, i could low risk invest that

After trying to read this, I fully understand why you are trying to finance a watch.

No, because I went to the Brinkhaus site to see if there were any particulars on their financing. Instead, I was distracted and now I just want another watch

$30-40K for a Rolex? Holy shit. What does it cost to insure that?

    10-20 months interest free that's $2000-$4000/mo
