    Default Purchasing Kitchen Faucet

Hello - I am looking for a "chef style" faucet, and I remember hearing the ones from rona and the like are poor quality and should go to a specialty store to get better quality faucets/fixtures.

My dad recommended Benner plumbing and heating.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

    Looking for something like this:

Benner does have them and come in a heavier material. 250-300+

Costco also has the same type for about 160.

If you buy the one at Costco, be aware of the hose angle. We drilled too far back and the faucet is slightly close to the countertop edge. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying when washing big pots.

Thanks Tym, I’ll check them out. Thanks for the tip flip, I’ll do some measurements.

Just because they come from a big box store, doesn't mean they're low quality. I'm pretty sure you can buy Grohe at Lowes

We're doing our kitchen right now, found a few things at Robinson lighting and bath. Without contractor pricing they're pretty expensive, but go there and find what you like, then shop around on the internet for the best deal.

Also, check the Grohe website - you might find one you like. I like their Eurocube faucets (they have one that fits what you're looking for) - they have that specific one at robinson so you can put your hands on it and actually see if you like it. I would have bought it to match the eurocube faucet in our bathroom, but my wife didn't want a kitchen faucet with the big spring on top haha.

The cheaper model in chrome usually has brass base and plastic head. My first commercial style faucet bought from Rona was like that. It lasted about several years before the chrome started to show wear and tear. The one I have now is all stainless. It's a bit more money but way nicer and the finish should last forever.
