Its too bad, its a million times better car than the one it replaces. But nowhere near as pretty. I hope it grows on me, but then again I feel the same way about the DB11.
0-60 in 3.6, better than any of the RWD AMG's with the same engine. That's pretty impressive. 150k for one of these, who would buy an AMG GT-S?
AMG 4.0 up front and a ZF-8 directing the power, should be a hundred times more reliable too which is awesome.

Very nice and sexy ... but the front head light ... a bit too Mazda ..
I think the same way, ~ $150K US to start (probably $185K cad to start) so $200K can get one, just slightly more than AMG GTS/GTC, seems like better choice .. but running cost will be much higher . (i.e. $5500 windshield vs $2K something like that .. )
I actually think the Original Vantage, especially the V12S looks nicer .. perfect looking car, can't think of any panel can be be prettier ...
The Original !

Maybe that was the agreement? Sure, you can buy our engines, but you need to make your cars less pretty. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

(but I'm biased).
The Aston will also be a premium over the GTS. Probably by $20k or more. And the GTS looks far, far better.
The Aston has some weird miata-ish front end, and the rear is an odd riff of a Lincoln MKZ.
The whole thing comes off like an F-type - which in my view isn't a compliment.
You can build them out on their configurator now. Some pretty awesome colors and options. Definitely going to be an awesome vehicle, but I do agree that they botched the front end. I read somewhere last night that all of the 2019s are now sold out, but cannot seem to locate that article now. Impressive for Aston if true.
Haha agreed for sure, it is not a good looking car. And the GT is awesome looking. I do like the Aston interior though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The Aston lineup doesn’t make any sense now, this is considerably faster than any db11. How fast is the db11 based vanquish going to be I wonder?
I am surprised AMG let AM make this so fast, a bit of egg on their face for sure...
I look forward to the MT V12 Vantage S or the AMR in the future.

Do you mean like 0-60 fast?
do people look at that as much any more?
Apparently they do re:Tesla roadster thread. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Will fuck off, again.
0-60 fast is all some of us haveThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
0.2 seconds quicker to 60, with a slush box, same size car, compatible price with the same engine. Well to me that’s impressive.
Might just be a symptom of AMG’s all being chronically undertired.
Oh and also, it has an Aston badge on the front, that always helps

I've always liked that metric only because it's the most reasonable thing the average driver can actually experience on a regular basis and day-to-day, especially since most people don't take their cars to the track or to the drag strip for 1/4 miles. It is the best indication of stoplight-to-stoplight performance, which is what most of us probably drive in 99% of the time here in the city haha. Obviously nobody is doing hard launches from every red light, but I think it's still the easiest way to get an indication of how fast a car will feel in relatively normal use. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Don't get me wrong though, if it wasn't for the law, I'd be flooring it and punching people at the same time.
I think (I don't recall specifically), that the MB published 0-60 figures were higher than the magazine tested ones. I think the GT has 295s in the rear?...the GT avoids a lot of the regular AMG predilections. The Aston has the same tire dimensions as the GT.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I always had it in my head that the GT-S was 3.8. But I am seeing it beat that quite readily on magazine tests you are right. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Did you notice that the MB Canada website doesn't even have the GT and GT-S anymore? Just GT-C and GT-R
In that case yea I take the AMG GT (*whatever they are called now) over this. Seems like a decent competitor to the F type though.
