One would think that the Calgary artist might give back some or all of the monies given to him.
Will fuck off, again.
wow, thought it would be a young artist that plagiarized the images but look's like an old artist that was part of the ACAD faculty as well?

What a fucking idiot. I hope he loses his job.
He worked for ACAD until 1993. Looks like hes a retired artist now.
I heard on the radio it was a temporary exhibit and was going to be taken down in the near future. I am guessing he thought he had "just about" got away with it!

Besides the artist lacking skill and it being yet another waste of taxpayer money, it's a bit silly for some British comedians to be upset with blurred out photos that render them completely unrecognizable.
It's not completely unrecognizable if their colleague's managed to identify them with no context for the pictures.
But it's still a shitty thing for the artist to do, the concept of taking pictures and talking to people at the underpass would have been extremely easy to complete, at virtually no cost to the artist.
We have art all around us, and we didn't pay pretentious douches outrageous sums for it. That is, especially when art is a want, not a need, and a subjective want at that.
In the specific regard to the art that has been in the news, many argue that that this type of art is beneficial to Calgarians. To this I ask, How so? How does it benefit your work, play, income, sleep, etc?

Controversially using other people's photos and passing them off as your own as an art exhibit isn't even an original idea. He's a double plagarizer:

The city will now spend 50K in legal fees to try and get back 20...
And probably settle for 10.

Don't remove it. Put his name on and change it to an art of shame display.
And just to imagine that not long ago people were bitching and complaining that the municipal government should be engaging local artists on public projects...well here is the result folks!

Her name is now trending on twitter.

The dude is still crafting his "oh shit" reply of backdating fictitious conversations and proclaiming it to be a piece of performance art that includes a social experiment so everyone can really feel engaged in the experience.

What a crock of shit! How does an artist of that long not know that there could be issues with this? Of all the photos he couldve used to Blur he had to go and jack someones lol He originally claimed they were just scrap photos from an ad or something like that but 01reddx found a post of him telling the metro they were passer bys in 2015.
