Good point Xtrema, particularly on mortgage payments and maxing RRSP and let it grow. Either path is better than sitting a large sum in a HISA.

Thanks guys. After talking to my financial guy, will be paying off my truck loan then working on my RRSP room next. Keep a bit in savings, but with a maxed tfsa i can always pull from there if needed
