I have done some other small plumbing jobs around the house like changing faucets but not sure I want to deal with an old toilet

honestly, this is probably easier than changing a kitchen faucet.

Honestly, it's super easy. Worst part is the wax ring and the bit of left over water on the floor. Super simple.

Few years ago I installed a toilet myself. Seemed very easy. Few months later the ceiling downstairs developed a spot. We had to repair the ceiling and redo toilet, this time professionally. Later we redid the floors and found the subfloor rotted...so paid someone again.

If you genuinely feel okay DIY, sure; otherwise pay a professional.

How would you feel like if your teenaged caucasian daughter came home dating an Asian boy? (come on be honest) Or would you rather the Azn boy hang out at an Asian mall picking up his "own kind"?

Use two normal wax rings, or get an extra high one. And never reuse old connectors.

I had that issue before. Put down the wax ring from the All-In-One, put down toilet and there was no smush. Stacked a new ring on top of it.
