New law requires singular citizenship to retain job as member of parliament. I can understand why, you cannot serve two masters, and as a lawmaker for a state - you could only be a citizen of that state - otherwise it will always look like you are a puppet government. British or French citizenship should definitely disqualify anyone in Canada, in my opinion.
Personally I say we just let the native tribes make all the laws.
