If only phone companies put in effort to keep existing customers instead of just buttering up new customers. These days it pays not to have any loyalty and just jump around every couple of years.

Anyone else got a Call from Rogers after leaving to another provider?

    Just got one now.

They are offering me the 10GB (true 10GB) unlimited call and text for $48.00/month for 2 years - goes back to $60/ month after 2 years

I just got off the online chat with Bell and they told me to call in and see if they can do anything to match that

    Amazing!

After spending a good 9 hours trying to get a hold of Telus, I finally got through AFTER the promo ended. No remorse, they offered me a 2GB top up on my current plan instead.

Wow, if that's the case that would be 100% worth it. Anyone have luck with matching with others?

I got the same call but I’m still with Rogers, they want me to sign up a family member, they will offer me $20 dollars off for the next two years if I understood correctly on my $60 dollar plan I’ll see if I can get them off without signing anyone up lol

I got a call on the weekend from Rogers. Same deal. They said I can move up to 5 people over for $48/month for the next 24 months with no contract, however they won't offer me a discount on my line. But there's also a $25 administration fee. Up for saving $12/month on my son's phone, but Telus has better coverage from what I've experienced so not sure if it's something I'll pursue.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

So it has to be family members on the same account?

Can you guys refer a "friend" on a separate account?
I'll pay you guys the $25 fee if you hook me up with that deal!

I wonder if you can get a new phone number for your plan, then port your current number out to a pay as you go.
Then sign up your old number as a "new account" then cancel your original account with the new phone phone number?

Kodoo FINALLY emailed me back two days ago. They said they'd give me the $60 for 10gb/month deal I feel like that is great customer service, no arguing, no futzing around. One email and done. Took a while, but they were super backed up.

Nice, glad to hear you got onto the train as well.

With Freedom Mobile offering 10GB for $50 a month, and other companies giving out even lower deals, hopefully this is a pivotal point in creating more competition for the telecoms in Canada.

Yeah for me it was family members ported over to the same account.

EDIT: I called Telus - 1 hour and 35 minutes on hold and transferred to retentions. The person on the phone basically said the $60 for 10gb is a really good deal and they have nothing there they can do to match it. I even told her I waited an over an hour and a half to hear that and that that's bs because Rogers is offering that but with a special 20% discount. No dice. She said she'd escalate for me but highly unlikely anything will happen, and this is for 3 phones I have with Telus for my wife and boys, so it isn't like i'm calling in for myself. If any of you are successful please let me know.

I hope this is the new norm. We needed a price correction up here for data.
