Watches use their own data?! Who designed that shit?? Why not just Bluetooth to phone?

You will get a text saying you have 10, 5 and an additional bonus of 5This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just the Apple Watch series 3 (that I know of). Yeah. It’s pretty stupid lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I switched my plan to the new $60 with Rogers, had 6gb before. Anyway mine is showing only 5gb as well, and I never got an email or text, I also noticed no caller ID, can anyone confirm they get callers name when they receive calls?...looks like I’ll be calling tomorro again.
That's fucking awful lol, just trying to milk more and more money as time goes on...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I just tested caller ID inbound and outbound and it's fully functional for me, voice mail still intact too. I'm betting another call to them is all it will take to get that fixed up. With all of the plan changes they must have been going through they're bound to have messed up a few. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yea sounds like it was just a small mistake, thanks for confirming. Myrogers is showing 10gb today so looks like system is taking a while to catch up, I still don’t have caller name inbound and lines seem to be busy again will wait for later.

The apple watch 3 can be used as a stand alone phone without needing your phone in Bluetooth range.
Oh really? so you don't even need a phone anymore!? haha the future is here. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
FYI update: I never got a text or email about the bonus 5GB but MyRogers has now updated to show 10GB is included in the plan.

Not for everyone, but if you want to go for a run without lugging around a phone, throw on a Series 3 and you have a lightweight device that can stream music, make calls, message/text, and pay for shit under $100 at stores. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. It doesn't have it's own phone number or anything so it still actually needs a phone for the account and it's tied to your phone's number for SMS, but providers are charging more money for it when it really should just piggyback and share your existing data as a auxiliary device.

The watch has its own e-sim, which is linked to your account, so you can leave the phone anywhere and just use the watch, incoming calls, texts, everything pretty much. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Well, in that case ya then i agree it should be piggy backing off your plan, kind of lame they charge for an extra add-on. That's kinda cool it's a standalone unit almost though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have unlimited talk and text and 5gb with telus for $100 (+$5 gst).. Online doesn't show any better options, if I called in would they give me something better?
Haven't had a contract in a long time, and buy used phones.
You may have missed the gravy train. Maybe another company is still running the promo. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
$100 is crazy high. You can also go to Public Mobile which I've heard decent things about.
Yeah I havent talked to them in years. I just pay the bill and buy a new phone when I break one. Just called and it says right in the opening recording the 10 gig expired on the 19th.. So I hung up.

You are some 4 or 5 days let for the promo rate. You may want to go to Freedom for $50/mo and 10GB of data.
Before the promo, I had 2 gb and unlimited talk for $61 without a contract. I called in last week and if I was willing to sign a 2 year, I could have 4 gb for $65. Glad I declined and waited a few days. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Best to just call in and argue until you get passed to someone that will give you a decent offer.
A side note to those on Telus, they also have a "loyalty 1 gb" for $1, if you feel the 10gb just isn't enough.

Anyone else got a Call from Rogers after leaving to another provider?
Just got one now.
They are offering me the 10GB (true 10GB) unlimited call and text for $48.00/month for 2 years - goes back to $60/ month after 2 years
I just got off the online chat with Bell and they told me to call in and see if they can do anything to match that
