    Default Hockey butt jeans

For me, only the old gap athletic and the new Levi's 541 really fit with a relatively modern style...

Being that there is no longer a gap "athletic" cut... anyone know of any other brands that have this type of fit?

I rock the Levi's 541, and most of the AE stuff fits. Slim straight/Original straight. They used to have an actual "Athletic" cut, but they seemed to have rolled it into one of the other.

The 541's piss me off so fucking much. I bought a pair that fit perfect so I ordered that same size online, one in every colour, since there's no Levi's store here. Every fucking pair fit differently. I sent them all back but one, and it fit way looser than the original pair. Way to be consistent with your sizing, assholes.

I think its because they have different substyles in the 541, I've found this with most of Levi's

I'll have to go try out AE, though I'm just not a fan of brands like Gap/AE and especially not of those that look like chandeliers like 7 for mankind, true religion etc..

Dont buy that AE and Gap garbage.

Levis 511 is what you are looking for. I tried the 510's and they couldnt get over my calves, but the 511's especially in a stretch material are the ticket.

Also go to cross iron where the levis store gives you wicked deals on multiple pairs that are the exact same as in your typical mall

That could be, yes. Still frustrating as all hell though.

Regarding the 511 comment, I dunno.....I've never met anything marketed as slim fit that had a hope in hell of getting over my thighs.

I wear 511s... thighs are for sure a little tight. The 505 in stretch gives more thigh room and are super comfy

yea the 541 is weird lol if you get the dragon (dark blue wash ones) it shrinks like mad whereas the other colors are normal.

my only issue is i was rocking size 30 but then i got the shaft in the summer and proceeded to drop 20lbs and now they are baggy af. oh well. and i can't seem to find any 29 sizing anywhere. lol fwp

Clothing sizing in general is so not uniform, it's crazy. I typically wear a 34 in 541's. However if you measure the waist at your navel, as per a tailor, I'm at 38" but my ass is about 46" and quads 27.5". Decades of skating/biking/hockey has made pant shopping become a chore lol

EDIT - I've been buying LuLu ABC's and some UA pants big enough to be comfortable in the legs and then just get the waist tailored in. That stretch, it's a life saver. They're a bit cool in the winter though haha Maybe someone will just make some that look like jeans and then it's problem solved.

Wrangler red line from Walmart. Jeans, black pants and grey pants is all they have but they fit great and have a ton of stretch. The non-jean material pants you could squat at the gym in just fine although you’d look stupid.

I've heard Lucky jeans are good for this. I don't know from personal experience, since the levi's work just fine for me.

The trick is going with a big enough waist to get it over, then if you really need it tailored get it tailored. If you actually have a huge butt from athletics and arent just fat, the 511's will work well.

Yes as others have said they are a big tight in the thigh, but this isnt 1998 anymore so you dont need 3 inches of space between your thighs and materials. They arent skin tight on the calves

You won't ever find the perfect compromise for big legs and thighs, but from my POV the 511 made out of stretch material are the closest there is.

I can't squeeze into those diesel jeans. The Wrangler's have a great fit if you have larger legs/booty.

Trick with the 511s is getting them longer... 34x34 I have to roll up the bottoms a little bit very roomy, 34x32... pretty much perfect, 34x30... they get stuck to my calves, unwearable

couldn't get the 511s to work... the pre-wash 541s are pretty much good to go in all the 34x32 size. I have to admit as its been a while, but Levi's IMO are better quality than a number of jeans I've owned in the last few years. Just a thicker denim and better stitching. This includes "Western Wear" Ariat Jeans and the only other jeans I could find to fit from the Gap and CK

I did not go with "Raw" denim though I do like the color... maybe one day when the todlers aren't wiping their hands all over my jeans and I don't have to wash them every week.
