    Default Turbo Gaskets

Just ported my hybrid turbo and the thin gaskets that came with the kit no longer fit. I've been told that the bolts from the turbo and exhaust manifold often back out with the increased heat of the porting and going higher boost levels.

I have a few options and wondering if anyone suggests one over the other:

    1. Install gasketless. If bolts back out you don't blow a gasket and keep having to replace and realign.

    2. Custom copper gaskets to match the ported flanges

    3. Custom stainless steal gaskets ot match the ported flanges.

    DO NOT install gasketless.

Mopac stocks all of the Garrett style stainless crush gaskets you'll need. If you've ported out bigger than the gasket, tin snips are your friend.

Ok , I will have a look. Thanks!

Was wondering if anyone has used anything like this:

If the bolts don't back out then you won't blow a gasket

You could easily DIY that "custom locking flange".
+1 for using a gasket. Get a close match and depending how much material you need to take off, I'd use a dremel.
I wouldn't go gasket material sheets to trace your own. I don't think it would have a high enough temp rating. But Mopac has those too.
