Default Recommend a Toyota Dealership in AB

    Hi,

I have finally decided to pull the trigger on a '18 4Runner based on need. I have not had any experience dealing with a Toyota dealership since the launch of the FR-S.

Please recommend me a dealership or new vehicle sales that you had a positive transaction with.

    Thanks!

Seems like Airdrie, Okotoks, and then TnT, in that order is the normal hierarchy. But I haven't bought a new car in years.

When I was shopping for a truck, I checked out a few dealerships and South Pointe was the one that stood out, they were willing to answer all my questions, pretty accommodating and I didn’t feel pressured at all, I ended up with a different truck but if I was buying a Toyota, I would definitely go back there. One of my friend’s bought a lemon from Heninger and didn’t get the best service so I stayed away. This was a few years ago, not sure if Heninger is any better now.

When I bought my Tacoma a few years back I went with High River and was very pleased. Not sure how they are now however.

We used Cochrane Toyota for our Tacoma and they were fantastic - got the truck at the price we wanted, and offered us substantially more for our trade-in than any other dealership we went to.

My buddy picked up a Tacoma at High river Toyota, as the calgary dealerships were largely crap. He's been exceptionally happy with them.

I had a very bad experience with him after a referral, either he though he could screw me or the sales manager thought they could. Either way being able to do basic math was my friend that day. He pretty much four-squared me, then I told him the math didn't work, he said I was right and we went and talked to his boss. Sales manager said too bad, take it or leave it. Sorry not buying a 60k hail damaged Highlander.

He was a nice guy but would not recommend to buy from based on that. To be fair, it seems like hook-ups these days are a detriment, not a positive, as seen in the last few threads.

My neighbor works at Charlesglen (the new one) and they seem OK. My family has bought all our Toyota's from Heninger over the years and I did about 18 months of my apprenticeship there. I've heard weird bad stories but never actually had an issue with it. I don't know if there are really any good dealers anymore with online reviews and such.

i bought my car in 2013 from Stampede and they told me lies about financing insurance being mandatory and added hidden costs like $500 for nitrogen in the tires. the cost breakdown of the car and add-ons also didn't make sense but i didn't realize it until months later when i decided to look back at the paperwork.

I've heard of people getting new tires at CT then the bill shows an extra $15 or $20 for Nitrogen that they were never even asked about, but $500? Are you sure?
