Be careful not to be oversuspended, it really makes riding no fun. Around the moose area I would argue you need no more than 120-130mm of travel with some progressive geometry, more then that and things just become numb.
That’s what I’m not sure of, I’ve rode a hardtail through a little bit of the area but didn’t want to go back till I had full suspension. I think the anthem and trance are the giant bikes I’ll look at.

Ended up with a giant trance advanced 2 used though but near new. I have high expectations for riding this year but if it doesn’t turn out well at least I can sell it for closer to what I paid since it was already used.

Thanks for the tips, was trying to find a anthem but none were in the stores I went to.

Do you think Thule travel bike bags will be on sale?

I don't really need anything, so I'm going to spend time on the bike seeing as how nice the weather is.

I'm guessing so? If I go, it'll be on Saturday so I can confirm and report back.

Yeah, I was just gonna ride there so even if I don't get anything, at least I'll get some saddle time out of it.

All travel bike bags should be 30% off. I picked one up a couple years ago and Thule was one of the ones available. Think it comes with a bike stand too.

For bike bags, scicon is the one to get. No need to take the handle bar or the pedals off. Got mine from PDK, just watch for sale.

Sorry @benyl . I walked in, took a quick look and walked right back out. Nothing was worth lining up at that gong show.

I did the same, that was slightly more insane than riding 15km straight into that wind on Saturday to get there

PRs, maybe. Most strava segments that benefit from big tail winds have been taken by guys with big power and massive tailwinds. I remember doing a tailwind effort up old banff coach road. Still 44 seconds off first place while doing 346 watts for 8:22. (https://www.strava.com/segments/1148708)

Yeah, it was like when you play basketball with a medicine ball, was so use to the effort that we were flying on the way back

The girl had the smart watch on, and I had to keep stopping for her, but even her best km average was over 26km/h ...with 44/16 (I have 48/16)

looking for a bike like this:
    Hardtail alloy
Large frame with good slack (67 deg)
Doesn't have to be a plus bike, but a 27.5 or 29 that can accommodate plus wheels
Decent front fork with 100-120 travel (air preference)
a 2x or 1x drive train of SLX or better (Some things can be deore)
    hydraulic disc

personally I don't care if its a Ridley,, Scott, Santa Cruz or a GT or Ironhorse... as long as its the best price

    any suggestions?

Kona Honzo AL/DL. Go down to Bow and see if they have anything left from the blue light sale.

Or go call Bike and Brew and see if they can find you any old stock from their distributor. I find Bow Cycle is usually pretty reluctant to do that for you; they're only concerned with selling you what they have in stock.

I would spend a bit more and grab a composite frame:

Or if you're set with Honzo, grab the cro-moly version:
