Oddly it was in Physics... my average so far in that class across everything was ~98%, I was the top student. I don't know what happened, I just couldn't connect the dots for problems today.

My gut feeling is I will pass, but not by much... this test was worth 15%, so it will drop my average down to ~91%. As long as I don't fuck up the final exam I should still be fine.

I also think the teacher might curve this test though, I talked to most of the other students after and not one finished the exam. Most are feeling the same way as me. Even as everybody was handing in exams he mentioned aloud that he might put it on a curve.

Brutal day... that was a 2 hour exam, and then I had only a 5 minute break and it rolled into a chemistry exam. My confidence was so shot by the time I entered into that one that I just wanted to give up and go home. I think that one went sort of ok, I don't know, it is all a blur.

What a fucking day... easily the worst day so far this year
Reading this reminds me of school all over again, lol.

Not worth worrying about until you see the grade.

I had a midterm last month that I scored 72% on, but after some grade manipulation trickery I ended up with 92% on the test which was hilarious.

Apparently they did tht because half the class legit failed (below 50%) and 70% is minimum pass haha.

I haven’t had many tests curbed per se ever. But profs have their tricks.

In this case it was ignoring your worst question on the test

Just saying don’t sweat the small stuff

One of my uni math courses ended up being 12 questions total (each test was 4 questions). 30% was a D. Fuck that class was hard. He gave us unlimited time to finish tests too.

It’s official. SP is the class nerd.

    Congrats bud.

This basically sums up most of the 4 years of engineering for me. Not the 98% top marks bit, but the constantly overwhelmed bit haha. Get ready for this to become the new norm The nice thing is there's people that try a lot less than you are (i.e. me), and they still make it through just fine.

Also, I dunno what all this talk of curving is about, but when I was in school (2011 grad), very few of our tests were curved. Probably less than 1/2 dozen tests - not classes, but singular tests - were put on a curve in my whole degree (not including my business minor, all that shit was put on a curve).

    +1

This was also my experience. But business school at UofC? It’s all anyone can talk about.

Sugarphreak, this is super late and way off topic, but is this at UBC? Just curious.
