Waste is the wrong word. If you chickened out you would always wonder.

I think people use the term “curve” to mean adjusting the marks somehow - not actually following the actual curving process. IIRC, most of my profs ended up just either making the denominator of total possible marks lower, or they kept marks absolute all the way til the end then either set the grading scales lower to make most people pass or just straight up gave you an arbitrary letter grade depending on your circumstances. For example, one of my 3rd year classes my overall avg was 45% and that worked out to a C

I remember how first year was so I see where your stress is coming from, but my advice is to try not to sweat the individual tests so much especially if your prof knows you’re putting in effort...it will all work out in the end.

Profs get in shit if they fail the entire class.

So I just got my interm marks like an hour ago, and just finished submitted my application... it will either be approved outright, or they can make it conditional on the outcome of my final exams which are in about 2 weeks

Kind of on pins and needles... did I just waste 4 months of my life, or is this actually going to happen?
Sending positive vibes your way bruh. You got this. You have to, for the ppl and beyond!

Just wrote my last final exam... I am totally exhausted. I've been burning the candle at both ends for the past two weeks studying and I feel like I know less than when I started, lol.

Pretty sure I can kiss my top grades goodbye too, I fucked so many questions on pretty much all of my exams. Then again I think most people did... I saw more than a few people just calmly get up and walk out only a few minutes into some of them.

With that said, my high grades going into the exams should mitigate the damage I took today. I should still get into my program, but just barely... I hope anyway. In talking with the other people trying to get into the same program, it sounds like they are all screwed. A few have been declined already, and the others were on the cusp and pending the outcome of the exams.

I am kind of scared though, if this was the entry program.... wtf do they have in store for the first year when they weed people out?
Engineering is only actually hard if you are a slacker.

If even half of what you said in this forum about your work ethic is true you will be just fine.

I'm not sure I put that many hours into my entire bachelor's...

Congratulations, you're doing something that most people wouldn't have the balls to attempt. Going back to school later in life or a major career change later in life is too scary for most.
    Will fuck off, again.
