    Default Fuel Tank Airlocking

So when i fuel up my work truck (F-250 super duty gasoline, approx 2009), it air locks every time.... So go to fuel, and the fuel level clicks off... and only get $5 of fuel in... then repeat until I fill up, on a $100 on average bill for this truck.
In this cold snap we're having it's obviously annoying AF!!!

Does anyone know any tricks or good fixes for this?
I try to hold the lever and half, or 1/3 and still locks and shuts off....

Running out of patience with this thing haha.

EVAP Vent Control Valve is probably stuck open/closed?

Park in a warm heated garage overnight and see if that helps it

My 02 Pathfinder did the same thing.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

This year of Ford is bad for evap solenoid/tank problems and replacing it all is a temperory fix for a poor design.

Even just twisting the nozzle 15-20 degrees to the side often helps me. Car is pickier about some nozzles than others.

I find keeping the nozzle out 1-2" helps prevent that on my classic truck.

Either the Eevp canister is plugged with dust and other stuff, or the evap vent valve is seized closed.

    I'll check it out! Thanks!

.. I've tried twisting the nozzle in other directions, i feel i've tried it all.... Getting to the point I want to resort to only stopping at "full service" locations... let it be someone elses problem lol

This. I had to do this in my 2013 sometimes. just hold the nozzle out of the hole slightly and you'll have no issues.
