Somehow I missed this thread. A coworker got set up with a pretty sweet standing desk set up from COI at home for about 2k which included filing cabinets and a loaded Aeron.

I was not in that same ballpark budget wise, but was able to get a refurbished Mirra (1) with all Options for $400, which I am happy with. I think the term "refurbished" is a bit generous, in the sense that the back piece had a little bit of surface 'coloring'. It is white in color and was looking a little "grey" in spots, but worked it over with a magic eraser and seems to have helped (probably should add some protectant at some point). Otherwise though, everything else looked fantastic. Very happy with my purchase. I was actually having some pretty serious shoulder and arm pain from using a dining chair. Even crappy office chairs are $200, so I don't mind spending the extra for a BIFL mindset. I find it more comfortable than my Aeron at the office.

Thanks, was able to pick a Zody yesterday for a decent price. It needed a good clean but I am looking forward to using it.
The Zody is a nice chair and Haworth has a good warranty. There are also two dealers in town so service shouldn't be an issue if you need it.

Any recommendation for a WFH ergonomic office chair? I do have a bad back and work has approved $400ish to spend.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

The Zody seat pan slides so nice adjustment. Can't remember if the Aeron does. Mirra doesn't.

Steelcase Leap does. I am pretty sure the Aeron doesn't.

Default Home office/computer use chairs. What to buy?

What do you guys recommend for a nice home office computer chair? Obvious qualities are comfort, ergonomics, built to last and won't mark up the hardwood floors too bad. What do you guys recommend? I prefer to order online.

Depends on your body style - I used to cheap out on chairs and then sit on a pillow after 4 months of use. I then found an Amazon basics Big and Tall chair and holy cow, what a difference.

I'm sure I'll get flak from the ergo ride or die office chair people, but I love my secretlabs titan.

Had 2 HM aerons and couldnt stand the mesh bottoms. Tried a different HM task chair and that got tossed quickly as well.

Werd. I, too, am lactose intolerant and the mesh bottoms create an issue for my cohorts. I now sit on a mattress cutout on a Steelcase Leap.

I have a black Steelcase Think that needs a new gas lift. Free to anyone who wants to pick it up. Located in Cochrane
RGO has replacement gas lifts in stock. They aren't expensive to replace.

I'm aware but thanks for the heads up. Worked at RGO for 11 years.
I have a nice leather leap so I dont need the think. Just thought if someone was looking they could have this one.

My boss wants to know whether the Steelcase Gesture with headrest is better than the Herman Miller Embody. How say the experts here?

    Everything I say is satire.
