Back in the day as a hoodlum there were times I hung around between there and Ogden a bit. I have heard it might be a bit ghetto, but I dont know if it's changed at all, does anyone live over there and if so, any opinions about it?

Most of my friends grew up in river bend/Ogden/Lynwood.
It’s not upperclass by any means but it’s not ghetto. I would pin it as middle-working class for the most part. Seemed like a great place to raise kids.
Alot of people I knew growing up lived in Riverbend. We used to go there on occasion. Seemed like the average working class neighborhood from what I saw. Had a SW feel despite being SE.
Ogden. No. I don't venture there.
My blue collar brother owns a bungalow in Lynnwood. Very quiet area.
You get the odd miscreant wandering around the convenience stores etc but honestly it isn't like forest lawn etc. One of his neighbors has an amazing metallic green CTS-V, RV etc. Another (think Randy from TPB) likes to have year round campfires shirtless or with a wife beater on.
But harmless/honest working people in that area overall imo. It's a convenient place to live and I would 100% not hesitate. You get nice sized lots with proper yards not sticking your hand out your window and touching a neighbour etc.
Miscreant is an excellent word
The first time I got arrested was in Ogden at a grade 9 graduation party haha. Good times
It’s a good community. Access to major roads. I agree it’s middle of the pack income with nicer homes by the river. Carburn park is nice. The mall is bustling with good food options, Oishii, Saigon maxim, station pub, Tim’s, McDonald’s, Boston pizza, pita grill and the friendly Chinese joint. Two schools. Like all in all not bad not bad or pretty pretty pretty good but it ain’t no aspen kk
Ogdeners are good ppl so no fear they do think it’s Compton like with their hoodies we but we all just play along.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100

You get the odd miscreant everywhere. Riverbend seems pretty nice to me.
More than likely, I would be the odd miscreant lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Question is how would 'coupe define the neighbourhood? Shit community or not - that's the only real metric which matters (aside from driving time to DT).
A real answer: Had a few friends who grew up or still lived there. Like any non-core older inner city neighbourhood, it's aged and cycled. Bit of riffraff here and there, but definitely wouldn't describe it as ghetto.

Bonus points for straight piped 2005 mustang type (v6) vehicle.
When I'm in my local 7-11, there's a drunk dude there about 30% of the time. and I'm him about half of that.....
These comments on the neighbourhood border on fescennine.
What an exceptional word.
But in short, Riverbend is like the rest of the SE.
Ultracrepidarian
it's alright, getting older now so it's getting run down a bit, it's a nightmare when there are problems with Deerfoot between 24th and Glenmore because everybody shortcuts through, there's lots of office buildings in quarry park which generates traffic, but most of them are empty now so it's not as bad as it was before.
I probably wouldn't buy there though, Green line is going down 24th street, guaranteed to bring in undesirables.
