In person or were you able to order online and pick up ?

It looks like I will be WFH for the foreseeable future so I need something more comfortable.
I emailed the Sales team; gave me a quote via email; gave them CC over the phone; processed the order while I drove to pick it up.

Anyone have any insight into the Steelcase Think vs Hon Nucleus? The Think is about $60 more and likely better made but has fewer adjustments than the Nucleus.

They had to check inventory, options, etc. which took a while, but quote was done same business day if you inform you’ll buy it in the morning and pick up by afternoon.

Brother is working on an office reno and they are liquidating all their furniture including Zody chairs. Ended up grabbing one, will test it out for a few days to see if I like it better than the Aeron I have.

I may be able to get more Zodys for $200 (used) if they have any more in case anyone is interested. The one i got is in mint shape as far as i can tell.

I would take a Zody for $200. Wife and I are hot-swapping the current chair, and the height adjustment is fuxxored and no seat pan depth adjustment.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

sorry guys, doesn't look i'll be able to get them. Apparently the guy got an offer for all of them in one shot so he doesn't want to deal with selling 2 or 3 at a time.

so far after a couple of days its almost as good as the Aeron for me. I like the lumbar back support, 4D armrests, and seat slider better on the Zody, but Aeron wins on the seat and upper back support.

So head office (where the building itself is actually closed down) caught wind that Calgary people were grabbing chairs from the office... and now everyone gets a covid allowance for wfh incidentals, good deal for me since I was all setup for it from the past gig, thanks coworkers!

That sound weird. Is the allowance pretty substantial? Like $1000? Or is it less?
What's wrong with borrowing a chair if you will return it when you don't WFH?
There are a lot of companies will allow assets being signed out, even furniture, monitors, etc.

Wife was able to submit monitor receipt for Covid19 WFH with her employer. Haven't got the cash yet, but still decent.

Thats awesome that companies are doing that. We got a internal email specifically saying that expenses for WFH will not be covered and that we are not allowed to take office furniture.

A bit late to this thread...

How do these chairs typically hold up when they are used? I see a few of the ones mentioned here available used in the $300-$450 range; however they on average seem to be 5-10 years old.

Most decent used chairs will last a long time. The only real thing that might go is the gas cylinder.

Thanks, was able to pick a Zody yesterday for a decent price. It needed a good clean but I am looking forward to using it.
