Is it just me or are the potholes and roads worse this year? There are some pretty deep/long ones on Deerfoot and in other places. Maybe I just never noticed it as much in previous years.

Definitely worse. We've had a bad winter. And the city says with all the ice and snow removal, they won't put priority on potholes until April. I'm glad I have a winter beater

Well, April is only two weeks away, so that isn't horrible. Not much they can do yet anyway with the weather still changing rapidly.

So how's the street in front of your place? Ours is already bare pavement in the middle and the snow is rapidly disappearing from the parking lanes. Our alley though is still a mess, ruts and a few poodles. Probably helps that our street runs N-S with means it gets a lot of mid-day sun.
    Will fuck off, again.

Still at least 4" of solidly packed snow and ice.

Got stuck not even 10 minutes ago in a little Ford Ranger. The Garbage truck drives down the street and makes huge ruts in the soft snow/water. I'm super glad that my Mazda drives through a lot of it like a tank and that I leave early enough in the morning that it's still frozen ish from the night before. Neighbours down the road are piling their huge piles of snow on the street on a corner making it super narrow. I don't think they are channeling at the curb either, so it's a good thing it is on an incline away from houses, but such a mess.

Clearly not a warlock. Gas prices still under $3.

Any soccer players try driving into the Soccer West parking lot? It's like Passchendaele with the amount of potholes. Was hilarious following a focus into there yesterday. Think they bottomed out like 7 times

On Sunday we park at the back of Blue Star Diner. Coming out there was a patch of ice and then a significant drop. We were in our van so it didn't hurt as much. Pot holes all over the place in the city.

This weekend was the worst. The paved lot was full of double parked cars so the spots were reduced by a third, forcing more and more cars into the parking lot of Kabul.
Best part is there is only one entrance to the dirt lot and of course it never gets plowed so the potholes were large enough to swallow whole cars.
(BTW my kid's team won the Provincial championship in GU16T2!)

Saw a city plow truck doing alleys in my area. Was interesting to note it was marked as a waste and recycling vehicle not roads department. Cat-fuckers didn't do my alley though.

Honda fit still handling all conditions flawlessly.

Sounds like they are just going to cause a mess.

Been doing what I can over the last week to ensure every drop of melt makes it into the storm drains. That’s really all we can do at this point. Also have been trying to level out any ruts that start forming as best I can without impeding drainage.
