My manager shut down the office. Too bad I'm flying home. Landing at noon. Hope it's alright then.

Just finished shovelling 6"/15cm off of my walks in north central - certainly looks like we're getting more right now then they predicted.
Will fuck off, again.
I hope you weren't shoveling at midnight. Man I'd be pissed if I was your neighbor and you were shoveling at midnight. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Drove from Cochrane to Airdrie with a foot of snow on the road and no tracks. Best road conditions all year! Fuel mileage in my F150 5.0 is 28.9L/100k but that’s the cost of fun. When you have to triple pump the brakes before they grab, you know the roads are great.

Haha I say this and then all shit hits the fan on the train linesThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
my flights delayed massively this morning. Thanks trudeau!!!
Lots of people on connecting flights are busing it to other cities instead of flying home.
If you're on the blue line... you're so screwed right now. Might as well call in sick. haha. 45min delays and that's very optimistic. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Main roads are all plowed in the inner city NW. Downtown is mostly plowed and actually not too bad. Just slippery at times but the new snow gives some traction.
Took an extra 5 minutes from deepest nw to dt leaving at 5:45. No lane definition until basically crowchild but it wasn't bad to drive on. It will be garbage once more normal calgary drivers are out and about. Shovelled at least 10+ cm last night and there was more than that when I left this morning.
ya proactively left early and had no issues... probably faster today @ 6:10 then normally driving at 7-7:30
Drove to Red Deer this morning at 0500. Slightly slower than normal, averaged around 90km/h

Yea roads look great. I’m sure some softy will complain about ‘lack of’ plowing though hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Someone in a BMW crawling along on Shag holding up traffic lost his shit when I passed him in a half ton flat towing my Mazda. Winter tires made today’s commute easy and barely any longer than normal, thanks to winter tires.
The amount of people driving with their high beams on at all times is getting to be ridiculous. Go see you eye doctor and figure out what's going
on or maybe upgrade from your 1996 Saturn if your yellow regular headlights aren't sufficient.
was it actually delayed though? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
we were about to park by Saddletown around 6:35am when I heard it on the news, we arrived at the platform with the train just about to depart and no delays getting to downtown.
But didn't notice any northbound train coming so maybe we lucked out.
shoveled about 6" of snow as well this morning and drove the wrx with no issues.
Glenmore was a ghost town by crowchild, a lot of people must have stayed home. Commute was cake.
Yep I think lots of people stayed in. Took 40 mins instead of 30, but I was expecting it to take 90 like it has in past shitstorms.
On another note, I'll be invoicing City of Calgary for my plowing services.
2WD, traction control off and beat ass all seasons were completely fine this morning. People get days off for snow days in Canada? Weird.
