Airdrie to Balzac, cars and semis all over on the side... Heading back to Airdrie no problems though, odd.

They graded our road yesterday... Holy shit it was slicker than snot this morning - did a full 360° just pulling out of the driveway.
The apprentice was amused
How many times would one need to shovel snow today/tomorrow? My buddy torn his bicep so he is disabled. Gonna go do their driveway so his wife can look after little one and cook etc.
I believe the rule is 24h after the last one stopped i.e. if it snows every 22 hr, you never have to shovel. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yeah, the bylaw is 24 hours after the last flake is reported. But in practical terms, you want that stuff removed twice a day in weather like this to prevent it getting packed down by pedestrian traffic.

Yes. I usually do mine before I drive on it and often before too many people walk on it. So I assume couple times when I get home, and then morning tomorrow. Looks like tomorrow will be light.
uh... i snapped my shovel in half... was hoping i could avoid buying a new one this season
Yea crowchild was great this morning minus the higher than expected early traffic volume. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
People were doing 70 in the left lane though, had to go around several people.
Was pretty surprised how deep the snow in my patio table was. About 14", but that must have been wind-assisted because it was more like 200mm on my truck.
Mixing units is awesome. This weather is not. Headed to Cancun Monday. Fuck yeah.

I shoved a yard stick in the snow yesterday, was 14" deep, is now 19". I almost never see the same amount of snow as most of you.
That being said, I'm happy with my purchase of an electric snowblower. Took care of the sidewalk with ease. That said, having to use an extension cord sucks, I think I'll wait for a deal on cordless in the late spring and give this one to my parents.
I got the Ego snowblower... Best money I ever spent
Big accident southbound at airdrie overpass.
Ice around there is very thick, snow is lubing everything up for extra fuckery.
Northbound deerfoot is fucked, but thats typical rush hour
I should present myself as a case study to pirelli for their p zero all seasons lol. They keep finding traction in situations I think I am going to be completely fucked.
But seriously, mandatory winter tires.

Had to run a few errands at five, no issues, even making a left turn across busy traffic. Endless grip and endless power is a great combination.

Getting deeper in the back yard, parts of the yard are over 2 feet deep now...
Will fuck off, again.
Top tip, if you go out to make measurements of the snow depth, don't use a framing square if you can't find your ruler. It doesn't work, right Speedog? Apparently I should have another coffee and try again later.

As if the snowfall isnt bad enough I cleared all my snow last night at 10pm woke up to blowing snow - now half the snow wall i had created last night is on the other side of my driveway. Sucks to be living on the corner
