During the holidays I was downtown and parked at the lot beside Japanese Village on 10th Ave. Paid for the ticket, put it on the dash and went for beers. Come back a couple hours later to a ticket!
After calling the company, the girl said they have all photo evidence there was no ticket displayed even after brushing all the snow away, but to send a copy of my ticket and receipt of purchased time anyways.
After a day or so, she gets back to me offering a reduction from $65 to $25. Later, I asked for a copy of the photo submitted by the officer showing they cleared the snow. Upon receiving said photo, I return it within seconds with a red box showing that in fact my receipt on the dash is clearly there, even in the low-res photo I was given! I asked again for this to be thrown out by her supervisor.
Now after a few more days I emailed back to ensure this had been thrown out but instead they are not cancelling it and only offering their reduction.
How the fuck is this even lawful?
