Default 2018 Detroit NAIAS Auto Show Tracker

Looking forward to lots of new cars and trucks this year.

    Today’s unveil:

    Chevy Silverado: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-a...-idUSKBN1F20M3

Tomorrow should be a good day with the Ford Ranger, VW Jetta, Mercedes CLS53 and the E53 Coupe and Convertible.

New Silverado is hot. Love it. Coming with an inline 6 diesel in the 1/2 tons too.

Still think too soon for mid engine Corvette. Probably next show season.

I also forgot the new G class for tomorrow.

Yes. Next month the Raptor version is out. That will be something to watch for

Size and towing specs for ranger? Is this bigger than the overseas ranger?

I can't prove it because I wasn't fast enough to get my camera out to take a picture, but last summer two of these passed me on the highway (#1, eastbound around the SK border). They seemed about Colorado/Canyon sized.

The Ranger offers only one engine/transmission combo, the 2.3EB with a 10 speed. Kinda sucks there's no V6 or Diesel. Looks good outside though.

The raptor may be diesel or 2.7 tt

But if they did a 400hp 5L in the raptor it would be pretty tempting.

Yeah the 2.7 would rock in that little truck for sure. Offering it only in the (expensive) Raptor limits the trucks appeal though.

I kind of like that AMG might be going back to "normal" round exhaust tips. The integrated ones are nice for sure but there is something about 4 shining ovals on the back that is just awesome.

Is it me, or does that interior look cheap? Like the centre console and vents look brutal.
