    Default Flames game and kids

I've wanted to take my little guy (7) to his first Flames game for a while. I've been hesitant because of the exposure to drunken idiots and rampant swearing. He is very impressionable.

Do any of you dads or moms have experience taking a kid to an afternoon Flames game? Is it a little more controlled lol? I see they are playing Winnipeg on Jan 20 at 11am and thought this might be the perfect time to take him.

Avoid press level, even at 11 am?

    Or am I overthinking this?

In the past the weekend games have definitely had wayyyy more kids around. Typically a lot less drinking (or at least where I've sat).
Pretty sure the game is 1pm though... granted the 1/2pm are always the same thing.

If you can afford it I would try to stay to get lower than PL. Just a better view/access and yes, avoid some of the people that tend to sit up there. I have never sat PL during a day time game, but the night ones all had a similar crowd.

Have you tried hitmen game? That's so much cheaper and packed with kids. Still have some drunk dudes there who swear. But less so in the afternoon

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

How dare you take your kid to a Flames game? At 7 they aren't nearly old enough to be able to consent to that.

Take them to church instead. At least there they can learn sound morals.

Afternoon games are full of kids and is a blast for them. At times the Flames does a kids theme, with swag for kids. There are some hardcore adult fans that are crazy enough to go there to actually try to enjoy a game, but is typically ruined by screaming kids or kicking them in the back. Source: My youngest kid drop kicked the poor guy 1 row ahead of us before we called it a day by the 2nd intermission.

For the record, hitmen games are way better. More room for them to run around. Kids don't like sitting in 1 place.

^ and you don’t have to drop a mortgage payment to get decent seats for you and the kids...

When they are young they dgaf about the game anyways.
