If we started doing average speed cameras I would get one for sure

Average speed cameras don't flash. It's just a plate reading camera, pretty much the same plate reading cameras that's at the Calgary Zoo and Telus spark parking lots. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Looks like it only works at night, if it is indeed 100% reliable which is unlikely. The fact that it has such a short ticket-free guarantee means that even the company knows it doesn't work. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

These are the first two sentences I read:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
"It looks for the flash that comes from the camera wanting to give you a ticket. When the noPhoto detects that flash, it fires a flash of its own, overexposing the license plate in the image so that the camera can't read the plate and so you don't get a ticket in the mail"
Do all of Calgary's photo radar sources (vehicles, red light, and speed on green) flash in the day time too? I didn't think they all did.
"NoPhoto will work if the speed cameras are SD, you'll have lesser luck if it's an HD camera."
Doesn't Calgary use high resolution DLSRs on those speed camera housings at intersections? Even the crappy parking cameras are way above SD resolution.
Really the only point of this device would be if you wanted to blatantly drive by speed traps and through speed on green cameras, which would indeed be handy, but if it didn't work 100% of the time it would be worthless given that you start at $400 USD in the hole. I also find the duration of the company's guarantee highly suspicious - they don't even believe their own product works.

Probably the best way to go is to have the Waze app.
