    Default Bachelor Party Location- Ideas

The selected weekend is May long.

My initial plan was to head down to Whitefish, however I think it will be an "in between" season as the ski resort will be closed and its likely still too cold for golf/ lake.
What else would there be to do down there at that time of the year?

Does anyone else have some ideas? I want to stay within a ~5 hr drive to Calgary to make it as accessible as possible to the majority of the group.

    Cheers.

Worth looking at The Wilderness Club if Montana has your eye. Haven't been myself but know people who went in some big groups that said good things. Should be decent golf in May down there, all the Columbia Valley courses are long open by then.

In my experience the only activity between ski and golf seasons in Whitefish is drinking. Good luck, haha.

I organised by Brother's to be in Austin, TX for 17 ppl from Calgary. I can fill you in if you want. Wasn't cheap but was fun.

I appreciate that! Austin would be one heck of a time.
I'm hoping to keep is a minimal (or as minimal as possible) expense for guests, as I know a large amount are tied to O&G and are just starting to recover from the downturn.

Columbia Valley would have good golf but there isn't much else to do after that.

Unfortunate it's may long, as everywhere is going to be busy as fuck.

But I can definitely confirm camping is a great bachelor weekend, if the group are that kind of folk.

Recently did a Thursday to Sunday Cabo trip for a bachelor party. Was a blast and likely no more than your average multi day party anywhere.

did Fernie a few years ago for a buddies bachelor party over May long. We white water rafter one day which was super fun but the rest of the time the weather was rainy and ugly. Bars were surprisingly empty that weekend

Follow YYCDeals, jump on the first cheap seat sale that lands on the weekend you want to go.

Sounds crazy to some, but you can end up with a way cheaper trip in a much nicer place.

i have a golf weekend planned for cranbrook for May long. There is about 20 of us. Hotel +4 round of golf for about 500 each. Been doing it for a few years and its been decent weather. So golf should be in the realm of feasibility.

Where you staying? I love Cranbrook and that whole area. Stayed at St. Eugene mission before, no complaints.

Whitefish would not be my choice for a bachelor party in May. After the ski season is over (I am there early may every year for an event) the bars get very.... small town dead and boring feel. I would think golf might be fun but it will be fairly quiet after that unless that is what you are going for. Whitefish is a really fun place during ski season but once its over not so much.
