So hopefully they don't turn off the taps this week... maybe I should go fill up today, haha

BC tries to restrict oil exports = Heroic!

AB tries to restrict oil exports = Villains!

It is just too bad Hypocriting isn't a hip dance style
the law is clear, example is bc cant restrict new alberta pipelines, but allow equivalent saskatchewan pieplines. so alberta cant discriminate against bc. thats what the constitution says from the constitution expert i quoted above.

bc restricting oil is not intended to hurt alberta economically, nor has it ever been stated as such. alberta however has made such statements.

false equivicating. come one. you guys know better.

What is the intent? Protecting the environment? The existing pipelines are super old tech. If anything, BC should be demanding retrofits in order to protect the environment, not stopping a safer alternative to what they already have now.

    - Pipeline EXPANSION is cancelled may 31

    - Alberta turns off the taps mid june (funnily enough gasoline will track BC prices in Alberta and increse by 75 cents a litre)

    - July, Feds step in and force alberta to turn taps back on

    - Sept alberta attempts to re-open consitution with the backing of Sask and Ontario (after a Ford win)

    - Dec. Feds pay kinder morgan an undisclosed amount of money and the trans mountain is back on

    - 2019 - Notley rebrands party as they aren't actually the NDP, and wins the re-election.

    - The entire time no new work is created for Albertans and the economy is still hurting.

    - Nenshi tries to take credit for any successes in the above list, somehow.

Yes, the stated intent is environment, and first nations consutling.

Alebertas stated intent is coerciosn and to inflict economic pain to bc.

    no difference there.

The pipeline will not make ANY difference to alberta economy that can be measured.

and we know the approval process was fardulent, trudeus election platform was to do it properly.

raise royalties from $2 to $4, or do like norway and tax resource profits at 70%, and we too could be debt free with a trillion dollars in the fund, A sillypipeline wont do squat but bleed more profit from alberta, and hurt our environment from increased production.

Exactly. Horgan can plead ignorance all he wants and say he's just looking out for the environment but "oops" lie... he already stated the goal "use every tool in the toolbox' to stop the Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline project" soooo

But anyway, take a look at Bill 12 if you have some time. No discrimination at all.

Throw him on the ignore. It has come to this. He has joined the ranks of Toma, brokenfingers, and all of their friends.

It's actually a pretty small list. He should feel honored.

I doubt Notley and the NDP get re-elected next year. Bringing out the carbon tax and parading it around as a social license and then having us all go thru a fiasco such as this?... Biggest fiasco's for the NDP = KMTM pipeline, Bill 6, and PPA's.

Plus, they should have booted Hoffman and Phillips. Hoffman because she's an all around idiot and border-line bully in the Legislature, constantly egging people on. And Phillips because she's the fox running the hen house on the environment. Panders to orgs such as Y2Y and Love your Headwaters. Public consult over Bighorn and she nor anyone from her office even bothered to show up.

What do you want us to do, exactly?

If we censor the posts out, we get called out for censoring conversations. If we leave them in, people like you make dumbass comments about the posts. If we start a new topic, ANOTHER new topic that goes to shit opens up.

Some of you guys take your foruming too seriously, goddamn.
