    Question Junkyard Gems

Have you ever been to a junkyard and found a car that was on the blocks that really should not have been there?

Now some of you may disagree with my views on this car I found but here ya go.

Back in September I was trying to find some interior parts for my Focus (no luck), and I stumbled across a 1993 Ford Festiva. This car was mint! Underneath there was zero rust, in fact the suspension and breaks still had the factory paint! Under the hood the car still had all the paint on the master cylinder and valve covers. This car had only 56000 original km on the odometer! Inside everything was the way it was from factory. Only thing wrong with the interior was the driver seat had a tear. I could not understand why this car wasn't sold before ending here (maybe they tried). I get it no one wants these anymore, but for a car enthusiast this thing was so mint it was cool! If I had the extra cash I would have bought the thing just to use as a fun beater. Even the clear coat was factory fresh. My best guess is that it was an old persons garage stored car and when they passed the family simply donated it.

LHD Celica alltrac at 52nd PnP. Rockers were a bit rusty but easily repairable. Shed a tear or two over that one.
