    Default Changing Court Dates

    *Slap on my wrist*

Well I got a speeding ticket ( not paying attention among other things ) and I’m not in the mood to ruin my perfect license. I won’t be able to make the court date so do I have any options to change it before hand ?

    Thanks in advance!

( note this is in court in GP, not Calgary - if that makes a difference )

That date is usually a date you have to decide your plea by... not a court date. Being GP, not sure if they have a justice of the peace there everyday, or once a week?

If it’s once a week, make sure you show up when they are there. Cause the process is usually JP, accept deal... if not set court date, extend, extend, extend... hope no one actually shows up when you finally do

yes, keep adjourning until you think the cop won't show up. keep in mind you don't want to adjourn anything less than a week away, because they will ask you to sit infront of the judge and request another adjournment. They are wildcards and may not give an adjournment. Don't ask me how I know
